With summertime here, now is the perfect time to take a visit to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. From the Statue of Liberty, you will board another ferry, bound for Ellis Island. There is a ton to see and do at Ellis Island. You’ll want to bring scratch paper and a pencil. Why? There is a wall on the island that lists every traveler who went through Ellis Island. You can scratch their name from the wall and onto the paper and have a memorable keepsake of your ancestor who traveled through their on their way to a new life.
While you are at Ellis Island, you and your tour guide will explore the entire immigration process. Take a journey through the Stairs of Separation. The island had two very different names, The Island of Hope and the Island of Tears. You and your group will explore the various displays and your tour guide will answer any and all questions.
