Our Grand Canyon Experience Exceeded Expectations!

Heading to Las Vegas and looking to spend a day out instead of inside the casinos? Look no further for your solution than Gray Line Las Vegas. Gray Line Las Vegas has many tour options but these are our pick for the top three tours they offer.

Grand Canyon West Rim Tour

Grand Canyon West Rim Gray Line ToursThe Grand Canyon West Rim tour offers guests a shorter travel day, but still gets them in to see one of the world’s most famous landmarks. The west rim tour departs at 7:30 AM from the Gray Line Departure Terminal (Shuttle picks up at most hotels available, call when you book your experience to see what hotels are included!)

During the West Rim tour, there is about two and a half hours worth of travel time that it takes to get to the area. With a quick stop at the Hoover Dam, have your camera ready. You’ll be able to take a photo from the O’Callaghan-Tillman Bypass Bridge.

Since the west rim is located on Hualapai Indian Reservation, once you arrive, you’ll be taken via shuttle into the areas of the Grand Canyon. For an extra fee, you definitely want to check out the Skywalk. Tickets are $35.00 but this is your chance to walk out over the rim and onto the glass floor to see the bottom of the canyon floor. Professional photographers are placed on the bridge as nothing is allowed but yourself during the experience.

While you also visit the west rim, you’ll get up close to Guano Point. At Guano Point, you’ll find the home of the Hualapai market where you can get all types of goodies. You’ll also be treated to Native American cultural performances and drive through a 900 year old Joshua Tree Forest.

Hoover Dam TourView from Hoover Dam

One of North America’s greatest treasures, Gray Line offers the chance to get up close to the beauty and massive structure known as the Hoover Dam.

Part of the popular tour is that of the inside power plant portion. Due to government projects to update the elevators that bring guests inside and outside, this portion of the tour is not running. Construction end date is currently scheduled for March 31, 2019.

The tour also features a stop at the famous Welcome to Las Vegas sign. Make sure to have your camera at the ready!

Grand Canyon South Rim Tour

View of the Grand CanyonThe Grand Canyon South Rim tour is a long day as just the travel time is five and a half hours from the heart of Las Vegas alone. There is one stop on the way for bathrooms and food so you might want to consider packing snacks.

As you head for Mather Point and Bright Angel, enjoy the sweeping views that the Grand Canyon has to offer. (Insider tip: Let the driver of the bus know that you’ll hike from Mather Point to Bright Angel and really become one with nature! It’s about a 2 mile hike, all downhill, so wear proper footwear!)

Bright Angel is home to some shopping and of course, the Bright Angel Lodge. There are plenty of dining and shopping options when you arrive so be sure to know where you want to visit ahead of time.

As with any trip, make sure you plan for the weather. Often times, the Grand Canyon can be very cold and windy so make sure you wear proper attire. Nothing will ruin your trip more than freezing as you are supposed to be enjoying your visit! Ready to see the other side of Las Vegas? Book your tour today online with 365Tickets Canada!
